Chelsea had their six-match consecutive wins in the Premier League brought to an abrupt end last weekend after Manchester City edged past them with a 2-1. The hosts certainly gave their foes a run for their financial power in that matchup, though, the visitors almost salvaged a point during the closing stages of the encounter.
Nevertheless, Chelsea have been recording nothing but success in their last three first division games at Stamford. That too, with a clean sheet in the bag.
However, West Ham are yet to hit the ground running this season. Unlike the host, the West Ham have not picked up a win in any of their last seven games in the top flight, garnering no more than two miserable points from a possible twenty-one.
It is also important to know that the visitors have tasted defeat in six of their last ten visits to West London. Their last win at this venue came well over a decade ago.
Moreover, West Ham have just one win on the road so far. Taking into account that they have also allowed a goal at least, in the opening forty-five minutes, in each of their last four outings. Expect Chelsea to be on top at the end of the first forty-five minutes and the last blast of the whistle.
West Ham have been found napping at the back on many occasions. The Hammers have conceded seven goals from their last three clashes away from home.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have scored no less than twice in four of their previous five matchups here.
With the likes of Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham running in and out of the final third, a high scoring affair is expected.
Chelsea predicted XI: Kepa; James, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho; Willian, Mount, Pulisic; Abraham.
West Ham predicted XI: Jiménez; Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble; Antonio, Snodgrass, Yarmolenko; Haller.
